West Village Loft

Defined by its unique L shaped footprint, this 3,800 square foot downtown residence was vertically sculpted to introduce expansive volumes filled with light within the living environments. By exposing the existing structural steel and integrating new steel elements into the primary living area, the design establishes a powerful vertical connection between the upper and lower levels of the home. This industrial language is echoed throughout the project, reaching its most prominent expression in the architectural craftsmanship of the steel bridge and staircase, which serve as sculptural focal points within the residence.
