East Hampton Summer House
This residence honors the legacy of midcentury modern weekend homes that emerged throughout the region during the 1960s and 1970s. The design is composed of two primary volumes, carefully arranged to provide a clear separation between the open loft living areas and the private guest quarters. A continuous canopy defines the entry sequence, directing the gaze toward the lap pool and visually extending the arrival experience into the northwest woods beyond. This immersion in nature is completed by an elongated corner of continuous glass, which offers a serene and panoramic perspective of the surrounding forest.
